What is the restaurant niche-segment positioning known as "fast-casual"?
"Fast-casual" is the latest trend in restaurant categories. Compared to quick service (fast-food), the fast-casual segment offers concepts that offer higher quality menu items, served in a more aesthetically pleasing atmosphere that rivals casual-dining competitors, while guest check averages are significantly less. The food is ordered at the counter, beverages are self-serve, and the completed food order is brought to your table with a smiling face.

Would I make a good franchisee?
Nothing but Noodles seeks solid, experienced business individuals or partners who are interested in owning and operating their own restaurant business. Franchise owners are ideally hands-on individuals, experienced in full service or QSR restaurants, who take pride in building their own business and serving a quality product in their respective communities. If you do not have previous restaurant experience, we will require you to join with an operating partner or hire an experienced manager that will own an equity portion of the business entity. Total commitment is critical to achieving and maintaining successful restaurants in our system.

What are the current financial requirements to obtain a Nothing but Noodles franchise?
The minimum financial requirements are a net worth of $1,000,000 and $250,000 in liquid assets.

What types of franchise development programs are available today?
Based on your experience and financial qualifications, and your geographic preference, we offer single unit and area development agreements. Area development allows for geographic control of NBN restaurant development, assuming you maintain your scheduled openings over the period upon which we mutually agree.

What general fees are requred by Nothing but Noodles?
The initial fee is $25,000 per restaurant. The royalty fee is 6% of sales generated from the restaurant, while the current advertising fee is .5% of sales. Note: we strongly encourage all franchisees to spend an additional 3.5% to 6% of sales on local marketing / advertising since the restaurant industry is extremely competitive.

What is the average size of a Nothing but Noodles restaurant?
Our current restaurant design and layout is best accommodated in 2,600-3,200 square feet, positioned in the end-cap of busy anchored retail shopping centers.

What is the length of the franchise agreement?
Ten years with two, five years options.

What is the total investment, today, in a typical Nothing but Noodles site?
Our restaurants generally locate in busy retail, strip shopping centers with the total investment ranging from $370,000 to $550,000. Freestanding restaurants will require a more substantial investment due to real estate costs, city zoning and permit requirements, sire improvements, architectural drawings, and building costs.

How long does it take to find a first-rate retail restaurant site, obtain approval from NBN for the site, and then build a Nothing but Noodles restaurant?
Depending upon availability of quality retail sites, the average length of time can range from 180 to 210 days. Your relationships and knowledge in the marketplace can expedite the site selection process. Once we obtain your site-specific information package, we will approve or not approve within 15 business days. Once you have negotiated and signed your lease, selected a contractor, and have architectural drawings, the construction process should be completed within 60 to 75 days.

Does Nothing but Noodles offer financing?
Currently, financing is best obtained using your existing banking relationships. We are in the process of obtaining approval for the “fast-track” process within the Small Business Association (SBA).
